Organized by Paper Communication Exhibition Services, “The 11th China (Dongguan) Int’l Textile & Clothing Industry Fair” will be staged on 29 March – 1 April 2010 at Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Centre, Houjie, Dongguan. To encourage more designers to take part, hence, the Organizer invited “Knitwear Innovation and Design Society” to jointly organize “Knitwear Design Competition” in the fair. The competition aims at developing more innovative and talented designers in the industry, providing them an opportunity showcase their designs, as well as enhancing the design culture between China and Hong Kong. Apart from this, Textile Institute Association (Hong Kong) and Hong Kong Knitwear Exporters & Manufacturers Association were invited to be the Supporting Organisations of the competition, revealing the significance of nurturing designers. The application closed at the end of October. A record breaking of 300 entries was received this year. The Organiser pointed out that among the splendid and creative designs.

This design by Sharon Li, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, was awarded the champion in “Knitwear Design Competition” in DTC 2009.

All shortlisted designs will be knitted and displayed at “Knitwear Pavilion” of “The 11th China (Dongguan) Int’l Textile & Clothing Industry Fair”. Winners of the competition will be awarded a total of $23,000 cash award. All knitwear will also be displayed at the showroom of KIDS.

In order to get the visitors involved in the fair, all visitors are welcome to vote for their favourite knitwear during the 4-day show, and can also have a chance to take part in the lucky draw.
